1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use ToolGuru at https://toolguru.co and the tools and related services we offer (the "Services"). ToolGuru is operated by an individual, not a registered company.

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. Some tools may show extra instructions; those apply together with these Terms where relevant.

2. The Service

ToolGuru provides free online tools for documents, PDFs, images, text, data, calculations, and similar tasks. You do not need to register or sign in to use the public tools.

Browser-based tools. Many tools process your files or input entirely in your web browser. For those tools, that content is not sent to our servers for that operation.

Server and AI tools. Other tools send content to our systems and, where needed, to third-party providers (including AI services) to run the job you request—for example, to generate a file, prepare a download link, or email a result.

Public checkout, paid subscriptions, and on-site advertising are not active on ToolGuru today. If we add them later, we will update these Terms and our Privacy Policy first.

We may add, change, or remove tools at any time. We do not promise that any tool will always be available or fit every use case.

3. Permitted Use

Use the Services lawfully and responsibly. You agree to:

• Follow laws and rules that apply to you (work, school, professional, or otherwise).
• Give accurate details when a tool asks for them (such as an email for delivery).
• Check results yourself before relying on them, especially AI-generated output.
• Keep download links and files private if they are meant for you alone.
• Stay within reasonable use limits we apply to protect the site.

4. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

• Break the law or infringe someone else's rights.
• Upload or submit content you are not allowed to use.
• Upload malware or try to disrupt, hack, or overload the Services.
• Bypass security, rate limits, or admin-only areas.
• Scrape or automate access to the site without our permission, except where the law allows.
• Impersonate ToolGuru or misuse features that send email on your behalf.

We may block access or report serious abuse where appropriate.

5. Your Content

Content you upload, type, or submit ("your content") remains yours. You are responsible for what you submit and for having the right to use it.

To run the tool you chose, you allow ToolGuru to store, process, and transmit your content only as needed to provide the Service, deliver results (including by email), keep the site secure, and meet legal requirements. See our Privacy Policy for how long data may be kept.

ToolGuru does not claim ownership of your content or of files and text the tools produce for you. Rights in generated output can still depend on applicable law, your source materials, and third-party provider terms. We do not guarantee that output is unique, error-free, or cleared for every commercial use.

6. AI Tools

AI and automated tools can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for important decisions. Output is general information only—not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

AI features may send your prompts or files to an external provider. That provider's terms and privacy policy may apply. Review output carefully before you use it.

7. ToolGuru Intellectual Property

The ToolGuru website, brand, software, and our own content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the public Services for personal or internal business use as intended, but you may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the site except where the law allows.

8. Third-Party Services

We use third-party hosting, storage, analytics, email, and AI services to run ToolGuru. The site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services.

9. Files, Jobs, and Availability

Server-based tools may store uploads and job records for a limited time so we can process your request and offer downloads or email delivery. Expired jobs and files may be deleted automatically; timing depends on our configuration and is not always instant.

Save anything you want to keep. Links may expire. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect security, or that every job will finish by a set time.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. By using the Services, you acknowledge that policy.

11. Changes and Suspension

We may change, pause, or stop any part of the Services. We may restrict access if we believe you have broken these Terms or posed a security or abuse risk.

We may update these Terms by changing the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires something different.

12. Disclaimers

The Services and all output are provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ToolGuru will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent required by applicable law. Because the public Services are free and checkout is not active, you may not have paid ToolGuru for the use that gave rise to a claim.
